Some definitions of good practice:
“Working in groups should be productive, efficient and enjoyable”.
“Appraisal, evaluation and assessment should enhance working and learning for better outcomes.”
“Presentations should be informative, well constructed and make a positive impact on the audience.”
For these activities to be effective and worthwhile, the right knowledge and skills must be learned and the values interrogated.
I enable individuals and teams to:
- learn appropriate skills
- challenge some of their values and
- demonstrate competent good practice

Presentations for Impact
Why do some people fear speaking in public more than death?
Did you know that in a survey of 3,000 Americans, asked what they most feared, 41% placed public speaking top of their list, way above fear of sickness, loneliness or even death. Reasons offered for this common dread of speaking in public vary, but all can be traced back to a fundamental human fear of making a fool of oneself in front of others. This is a fear that can be overcome.
I coach clients from all walks of life and help them to present their case dynamically and with confidence. Whatever your presentation is about, you can deliver it coherently and dynamically so that it makes maximum impact on your audience.
I help you to analyse your presentations by applying the ancient principles of rhetoric. This means rigorously scrutinizing the content or ‘argument’ of the presentation and shaping the material to persuade and captivate the specific audience for whom it is intended.
Only then can effective delivery techniques which inspire confidence be worked upon for professional and dynamic presentations. I teach and coach effective delivery techniques by working with clients on :
- selecting the appropriate register
- using body language carefully
- learning how to overcoming their nerves
